AEGIS is a federal agency tasked with working with superheroes and fighting super villains. The agency is responsible for enforcing the 28th Amendment and keeping a database of all active superheroes. AEGIS is supposed to use advanced technology and skilled agents to complete missions but they are often weighed down by bureaucracy and procedures. The AEGIS field office in The City was eventually shut down after the deaths of the Flag Five.
